BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions Turkeybecame first ‘Green Office” of Turkish Leasing Sector

Within the framework of “Positive Leasing”, BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions became the first “Green Office” of the Turkish Leasing Sector with its successful efforts under the “Green Office Program” conducted by WWF Turkey. In the first year, BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions Turkey has created a difference by overachieving its targets after performing improvements in three main subjects; paper consumption, office equipment processes and awareness of employees with the slogan “Yeşilease” (which means “Greenlease”).

Green Office Graduation Ceremony took place on 25^th of December 2014 with the participation of the WWF Board Member and managers and BNPPLS Turkey staff.

BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions Turkey is proud of being hailed by one of the biggest nature protection organization like WWF for the work it has implemented to improve the ecological sustainability. As being the first leasing company that gets Green Office certificate in Turkey, LS Turkey made a difference in the sector while it fulfills the responsibilities both to the the nature and to the community in which we live. Achieving the target is not only by the certificate gained, but also with the developing awareness of the employees at the end of the process.

It is aimed to start responsible paper use and minimize paper waste in the paper consumption scope while starting this program. By the end of 2014, it is initiated responsible paper use at the rate of 100 percent and decreased the consumption at the rate of 20 percent which is above the targets. Besides recycle ratio of recyclable wastes raised to 100 percent after a year.

For raising awareness to save energy and decrease carbon release, a campaign is launched for turning the computers off out of working hours and the employees are rewarded with small presents. A ‘Green Library’ is created that enables exchange of books and DVDs. Furthermore, innovative environment protection ideas of the employees shared through our Green Sparkle Portal are evaluated.
